<p class="Paragraph">With the help of the <span class="T1">Web Page Query</span> <help:productname xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> Calc import filter, you can insert tables from HTML documents in a <help:productname xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> Calc spreadsheet.</p>
<p class="Paragraph">You can use the same method to insert areas defined by name from a <help:productname xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> Calc spreadsheet.</p>
<p class="Paragraph">The following insert methods are available:</p>
<p class="Head2">Insert by dialog</p>

<p class="P2">Set the cell cursor at the cell from where the new content is to be inserted.</p>

<p class="P2">Choose <span class="T1">Insert - External Data</span>. This opens the <span class="T1">External data</span> dialog .</p>

<p class="P2">In the Combo Box enter the URL of the HTML document or the name of the spreadsheet. A dialog may help you with your file selection.</p>

<p class="P2">The selected file is loaded (unseen) in the background. Finally, in the large list box of the dialog, you can select the ranges or tables from the file.</p>

<p class="P2">If you want you can specify that the ranges or tables are updated every n seconds.</p>
<p class="Paragraph">Open two documents: the <help:productname xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> Calc spreadsheet in which the external data is to be inserted (target document) and the document from which the external data derives (source document).</p>
<p class="Paragraph">In the lower combo box of the Navigator select the source document. The Navigator now shows the range names and database ranges or the tables contained in the source document.</p>
<p class="Paragraph">Drag the desired external data from the navigator into the target document.</p>

<p class="Paragraph">If you have loaded an HTML document with the <span class="T1">Web Page Query</span> filter as the source document, you will find the tables in the Navigator, named continuously from "HTML_table1" onwards, and also two range names that have been created:</p>
